* When our family moved back to Colorado, Garden of the Gods was our first hiking adventure with our two dogs leading the way. As we neared the parking lot to go back home, a juvenile rattlesnake crossed our path. Christine did not know this story when she painted the rattlesnake alongside Balanced Rock. A serendipitous pairing!
